"Excellence is not a skill. It is an attitude.” By Ralph Marston

We can all choose to approach each day with an attitude of excellence

“I have personally experienced the transformative nature of coaching, as a coach and client, and I believe in the process including the conviction that we have the ability to make things better. I am a certified coach from Hudson Institute, one of the oldest and most well-respected accredited coach training programs and a member of the International Coaching Federation. I operate to a high standard of ethics and professional conduct and am committed to my own continued self development. I am also certified in production and inventory management by the American Production and Inventory Control Society. “

I understand the difficulties facing business leaders today where previous methods of success no longer work and life is a constant juggling act. I offer a wealth of insight from 25+ years of diverse leadership. I use a holistic approach in my coaching and consulting, built on a solid base of experience.

I have been fortunate to provide leadership as Chief Information Officer for a global High Tech company, VP of technology for an insurance carrier, co-founder of a non-profit start up, public sector independent consultant, and defense contractor project manager. I have led distributed teams, groups managed through matrix organization, high performance work teams, and newly created teams and every core function in the Information Technology function. I have been involved with hundreds of successful change efforts and a few that have not been effective where I have experienced intense learning. I bring deep experience in implementing changes of all types and know how to employ program management, change management, teamwork and alignment/accountability to accomplish goals and bring about bottom line business results along with a myriad of intangible benefits such as improving the work environment.

My friends and work acquaintances know me as someone with a high level of integrity and I have found that most people are comfortable sharing personal aspects of their situations including their aspirations and some of the things that seem to get in their way. In addition to my excellent communication skills I have deep problem solving skills and I thrive on challenge. Time and again I felt the deep satisfaction of achieving stretch goals, intellectual stimulation of tough decisions, and joy of working with others. I am always digging to see what can be learned through success and disappointment, from my own experiences and the experiences of others. My core theme has been the passion to help others find new ways of operating, creating the future they desire .

Getting personal

I am married with two adult children and I enjoy the outdoors and travel in addition to meeting people and learning their stories. One of the ways I am currently feeding my love of learning is in the area of taking photos. Many of the pictures on this website were taken by family members, friends and me. Although mine are not the best pictures there are no thumbs across them which is a recent phenomenon! For now I have no plans to try and obtain deep expertise in photography but will just focus on the joy of capturing memories.
